We at NEMotorSport.com receive a lot of questions about the cruise, and we wanted to create a single location where you can view answers to some of the more common questions we are asked. Here is that place. Right here. No need to keep looking, you’ve already found it. If you don’t find the answer to your question here, feel free to email us at support@nemotorsport.com.

Registration

Do I need to register?

We require all drivers to register for the cruise.

When do I need to register by?

Typically, you can register online up until the Friday before the cruise. We will close online registrations a day or two before the cruise (as long as the website allows you to register, you can register). You can register in person at the cruise if you are unable to register online, but please register online if you can.

When is the latest I can pre-register to get the goody bag?

Please see the “Current Cruise” page on the registration website for the pre-registration deadline, as it changes each cruise.

Pre-registrations just closed but I want a goody bag. Can you re-open them for me?

No.

Does the price change after the pre-registration deadline?

No, you just don’t get the goody bag after pre-registrations.

Can I register on the day of the cruise?

You can, but we prefer online registrations to ensure a smoother check-in process the morning of the cruise. If you need to register day-of, please bring exact change if you can.

Is registration per car or per person?

Per car.

What kind of cars are allowed on the cruise?

We welcome all makes and models. It doesn’t need to be a fancy show car, just bring what you have!

Can I bring my motorcycle?

This one gets asked a lot. We have traditionally requested that only cars come. You may be an experienced rider, but it’s not your ability that concerns us. It’s everyone else. With the number of vehicles we see at these cruises, and how congested traffic can get at times, it creates a hazard for bikes. While we do our best to keep renegade drivers under control, we simply can’t police everyone. For safety and liability reasons, please only bring 4 wheeled vehicles.

 What if I’m not sure what car I am taking?

Please register with the plate# of the vehicle you are most likely going to take. If you need to change your registration information, contact us at support@nemotorsport.com. Please include your order # in your email.

 Can I change the plate # I used when I registered?

Yes, please email us at support@nemotorsport.com with your order number and new plate number.

What if I missed pre-registration?

You may still register online (preferred) or in person the morning of the cruise. You just won’t receive the goody bag.

What if I have problems registering?

Please contact us at support@nemotorsport.com. We are here to help.

What if I don’t have a credit card or Paypal?

Seriously? What year is it? If you are local to the southern NH area, you can arrange to meet one of us and pay with cash. We will then issue a coupon code to use on the registration website equal to your cash payment. Contact us at support@nemotorsport.com.

Did my registration go through?

If you received the confirmation email, yes. If you have not received a confirmation email, YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED.

Will I get something in the mail to show that I registered? How does it work?

You will receive a confirmation email after successful registration. We look up your order by last name at NHTI, but having your order number handy in case of problems can help.

Do we have to print the tickets out?

We are not currently utilizing the ticketing feature of our website. You only need to have an ID (if requested), and know your order number (if requested). In most cases, we just need to look it up by your name.

Goody Bags

What’s in the goody bags?

The contents f the goody bags change for each cruise, but we always include a t-shirt with a unique design that changes each cruise and door decals (also unique designs for each cruise). We sometimes get sponsors to donate goody bag items, and we are sometimes in a position here at NEMS to donate other goodies. In the past, we have included candy and NEMS decals when we were able to.

I pre-registered but missed the cruise. Can I still get my goody bag?

Please contact us at support@nemotorsport.com to arrange pickup or shipping of your goody bag.

Will the door decals damage my paint?

Install decals on your car at your own risk. Older paint and paint with poor adhesion is more at risk of peeling off than newer, higher quality paint jobs. We put them on our own cars every cruise and haven’t had any problems. If you are worried about paint, consider putting them on a window.

Do you have any extra shirts/decals/goody bags?

No. In order to keep costs down, and keep our donation to Make-A-Wish of NH high, we only order what we need.

Do I pick up my goody bag somewhere?

We hand out the goody bags at check-in the morning of the cruise.

I just found out about this cruise and it’s past the cutoff for goody bags. What can I do?

The only way to get the goody bag is to register before the deadline. Feel free to register and join us anyway, and try to register earlier next time around.

When do we get our goody bags?

Goody bags are handed out during check-in at NHTI.

The Cruise

Are the roads closed for us?

No. Please remember that this is NOT a race and we are sharing the roads with other motorists. We ask that all of our participants drive respectfully.

When and where does the cruise end?

Many variables can change our end time, but we are typically arriving in Lincoln, NH around 6:00pm.

Is there food?

We usually have a breakfast food vendor on site at NHTI in the morning for check-in (subject to vendor availability). We do plan a lunch stop in an area where there are restaurants nearby for the purchase of lunch. You are also welcome to pack a lunch.

Do you offer refunds if I can’t make it?

No.

What should I bring?

First off, a good attitude (you laugh, but nothing spoils a good time like that one negative person). Cash is good to have on hand for raffles and food, two-way radios will keep you in the loop with other drivers, Go-Pro/camera to save the memories, money for gas, sunglasses for… well… the sun, and batteries for your devices.

What is the route for the cruise?

We don’t announce the route until the morning of the cruise. All drivers will be given printed directions at NHTI.

Are there police escorts?

We don’t hire police escorts at this time.

Do the police know about the cruise?

We don’t go out of our way to tell them, but yes, they almost always know. Don’t drive disrespectfully and it shouldn’t be a problem.

Is I-93 our personal highway?

Absolutely not. Please drive accordingly. 

What radio channel should I use for two-way radios?

Channel 3 or 3.0 is what we typically use, but check your printed directions to be sure. You can also ask a staff member at the cruise.

What time do we leave NHTI?

Roll-out is usually between 10:00am and 11:00am depending on the cruise route. See the “Current Cruise” page for our scheduled roll-out time. Occasionally other factors can affect our departure time. The biggest factor that effects our departure time is the check-in process. You can help make this quicker and smoother by registering online and arriving as close to the start time as possible.

What if it rains?

Rain or shine, we’ll be there!

Are there gas stations where I can get 93 octane?

Yes! There aren’t as many up north as there in the southern part of the state, but they exist. We try our best to include some of these stations on your printed directions for reference.

I heard Hurricane Mountain Road is a harsh road. Should I take my car on it?

Hurricane Mountain Road has many sharp elevation changes and turns. For extremely low cars, you may scrape. If our route includes Hurricane, we will plan a detour around it for those who don’t want to drive on it.

Can I just follow the driver in front of me instead of following the printed directions?

Doing that is the easiest way to get lost. We have seen countless occurrences of an entire group getting lost because the driver in the front took a wrong turn. Please rely on your printed directions.

Will NE MotorSport pay my speeding ticket?

Is this a serious question?? No. Please drive respectfully.

How many miles is the cruise?

The route can very each cruise, but typically we drive about 200-300 miles from NHTI to our end in Lincoln, NH.

Burnouts?

We love burnouts as much as you do, BUT…..  NHTI has been gracious enough to lend us the parking lot for registrations. Anyone caught doing burnouts at NHTI will be reported to the police and asked to leave. We also travel the roads up north at least twice each year and don’t want to make a bad name for ourselves. Please don’t give law enforcement a reason to bother us.

What if I get into an accident?

As with any accident, contact emergency services if needed (911). Treat the situation as you would normally any other day. It is no different just because you’re on the cruise.

Should I wear a costume for the Fall cruise?

Some people choose to wear costumes since the cruise usually happens around Halloween. Feel free to if you would like, it makes things much more fun!

Can I jump in with the cruise somewhere along the route?

Only in special situations (on a case by case basis) and if you have already registered/paid. Please contact us at support@nemotorsport.com to discuss this option if you need.

Misc

Can I advertise my services in your event page on Facebook or on your forum?

We only allow event sponsors to advertise. Please contact us if you are interested in being an event sponsor. support@nemotorsport.com

How much money goes to MAW?

Although none of our volunteers take a salary, as a 501c3 organization, we do have operational expenses to cover. For this reason, we are unable to donate 100% of the proceeds. We donate 90% of net proceeds raised from the KancCruise events, with the exception of additional shirt sales. Additional t-shirt sales are not included in the donation to Make-A-Wish. This allows us to grow as an organization and better serve you and the community!

Is my registration cost tax-deductible?

Although NEMotorSport, INC is a 501c3 non-profit, any money paid to us in exchange for goods or services (ie. registration to our events) is not tax deductible. Donations made to our organization are tax deductible as long as you do not receive anything in return.

How much money has NEMotorSport.com raised for Make-A-Wish of NH?

Can my co-pilot be my emergency contact?

Well that wouldn’t make much sense in an emergency, would it? Please choose someone who will at least be in another car, and preferably someone who is not at the cruise.
